Safety Policy for Swing Products

At Jolly Tot & Co, your child’s safety is our top priority. Our baby swings are thoughtfully designed to meet strict safety standards and provide a secure, enjoyable calming space for your little one.

Please read and follow all safety instructions:

  • This swing is intended for babies aged 6 to 36 months who can sit up unassisted.
  • DO NOT exceed weight limit: 20kg
  • Adult supervision is required at all times. Never leave a child unattended in the swing.
  • For indoor or outdoor use only in secure, low-risk areas. Ensure the swing is mounted to a strong, load-bearing structure and tested before each use.
  • Ensure swing is fully and correctly assembled before use.
  • Use only with the safety harness securely fastened. Ensure the child is properly positioned in the seat at all times.
  • Do not use if any parts are damaged, worn, or missing.
  • Keep the swing away from hazards such as walls, furniture, open flames, cords, sharp objects, or bodies of water.
  • This swing is not a sleeping device. Remove the child immediately if they fall asleep.
  • Designed for use by one child at a time only.

IMPORTANT: Adult installation required. Mount to a load-bearing structure only.

 

Step 1 – Select a Suitable Mounting Location

  • Use a horizontal beam, ceiling joist, or swing frame that can support at least 4 times the child’s weight.
  • Ensure the area is:
    • Free from obstacles
    • Indoors or sheltered from harsh weather

 

Step 2 – Install Mounting Straps (if purchased with Jolly Tot mounting kit)

  • Place strap evenly over a secure weight-bearing structure.
  • Interlock both metal rings into carabiner, ensure gate on carabiner is closed
  • Repeat with second strap and carabiner
  • Straps are to be seat width apart

 

Step 3 – Attach the Swing

  • Clip the swing to installed carabiners
  • Adjust ropes/straps so swing seat sits approx. 30–40 cm above the ground.
  • Ensure seat is level and both sides are evenly adjusted.

 

Step 4 – Final Safety Check

  • Pull down firmly on swing to test stability.
  • Ensure:
    • No frayed ropes
    • Carabiners fully closed
    • Beam is solid and not flexing

     

    Important:

    This product is not a sleeping device. Do not leave your baby unattended or allow them to sleep in the swing.
